Humboldt Folklife Society invites the public to the Humboldt Folklife Festival, scheduled for July 14-16, 2022, Thursday-Saturday, at Dell’Arte Amphitheater in Blue Lake. All events are 100% outdoors, weather permitting.

·      Thursday July 14, Outdoor show 6-10 PM with Huckleberry Flint, Canary & the Vamp, Bayou Swamis, and The Starhoppers

·       Friday July 15, Barn Dance on the Street 4-6 PM with Lyndsey Battle caller, and Cider Mill Creek playing. Barn dance is free and open to all ages and skill levels. Outdoor show 6-10 PM featuring The Handshakers, Dead On, and Absynth Quartet

·      Saturday July 16 is the All Day Free Festival (by donation) featuring Blake Ritter’s Fiddle Academy, Back Seat Drivers, Blake Ritter and Rick Kearns, Mariachi de Humboldt, Compost Mountain Boys, Kingfoot, Fickle Hill, The Yokels, and Barn Fire. One stage, 9 bands plus workshops on the street 11am- 8pm. Details are posted at humboldtfolklife.com

The Folklife Society is seeking volunteers! Volunteers will receive a Folklife beverage cup for four hours of volunteering. Interested community members can volunteer by emailing anne.g.kinne@gmail.com. For over 40 years, the Humboldt Folklife Society has existed to teach, celebrate, and encourage participation in folk and traditional arts.
