Patricia Sennott now uses oil-based ink and French rag paper to create Monotypes of native birds and of flowers, both wild and from her Blue Lake garden. “Observing a bird, whether in the mountains while hiking or in the intimacy of my garden can feel like a miracle! They symbolize transcendence and great mystery for me.” Sennott has been exhibiting her art for over 25 years and her work appears in collections in Japan, Canada and Micronesia as well as in the United States. Her exploration of the natural world has taken her to remote places in the mountains and deserts of Oregon and California and includes a 3 year journey of teaching art and painting in the Northern Mariana Islands of the Western Pacific.
