The Minor Theatre has remained a pillar of the Arcata community for over a century. It is the second oldest movie theater in the United States to be built for that purpose and was the first building in Humboldt County to be built as a "true movie theatre." In 2016 it reopened under independent ownership in 2016 and is a great place to enjoy locally sourced food and drink, spacious seating, and top-of-the-line projectors and audio.
